Insulators, Conductors, and Semi Conductors

    Insulators, Conductors, and Semi Conductors

There are a lot of examples of Insulators,Conductors and Semi Conductors in our own kitchen.

Come and let's explore few examples of them in our own kitchen . ^_^

Insulators

the materials or objects that does not easily allow heat, electricity, light, or sound to pass through it.

Wooden Spatula is one of the example of Insulators that can be found in the kitchen. Woods are one of the best insulators.

Pot Holder/Cloth is another example of Insulator. We use pot holder/cloth when holding hot pots so that the heat will not pass through our hands and it will not cause burn in our hands.

Conductors

the materials that allow the electric charge to pass through.

Pot is a example of Conductors in the kitchen for it lets the heat pass through and cooked our rice.

Metal Spatula is also a example of conductors for metals are the best conductors.

Semi Conductor

the materials that are in between of insulators and conductors.

The frying pan is one of the examples of semi conductor. The frying pans handle is rubber , which is insulator, and it's body was made by metal , which is considered as conductor.

The Metal Laddle is also an example of semi conductor because of it's handle and body like what I've said in the frying pan. In this case you can cook food well without getting hurt by the heat coming from the conductor because you're holding an insulator.
